In the confusion following Dr. Atkins unexpected death, people/groups opposed to Low-Carbing did whatever they could to obliterate our faith in our way of life. It almost worked � those were indeed dark days! Soon Low-Carbing splintered into many sub-groups and so the challenge has been to somehow keep us united under a �low-Carb banner� � that is at the core of most of the variants that arose in the confusion. The authors in this series of books never lost the faith, and all have inspirational success stories! Alongside Jimmy Moore, we labored, keeping the faith. Over time study after controlled scientific study published in prominent scientific and medical journals, showed that Low-Carbing worked, as a diet, and that it always worked better than �low-Fat� -  but more importantly, it improved key health markers! (1) Weight lost about doubled for LC vs LF (2) HDL improved on LC, not on LF (3) LDL improved on both (more on LF) but the data didn�t differentiate between High vs Low density � pity! (4) Triglycerides for LC improved almost 400% vs LF diets (5) LF did zero for blood Glucose levels but LC sure helped! What�s left to say? �Our faith was well-founded� and �Thanks, Dr. Atkins � you were right!�
